Mumbai Dosa Complaint Takes Extortion Twist
A complaint alleging a rat was found in a dosa at a Mumbai eatery has taken a new turn with accusations of attempted extortion. The hotel owner reportedly received calls threatening to release a video of the dead rat unless 25 lakh rupees were paid. Two individuals, identified as Mansi Acharya and her sister Kinjal, allegedly approached the restaurant owner to settle the matter for this sum. Instead of making an arrest, police served notices to the accusers, according to a police officer.
