Tejas Fighter Jet Production Boosted by US Engine Deliveries
General Electric (GE) has delivered four F404 engines to India in September, bringing the total to 14, which will accelerate the production of Tejas fighter jets. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has 27 airframes ready. The Indian Air Force is pushing for the early induction of the Tejas Mk1A variant to address squadron shortages and replace aging aircraft.
