Flydubai Co-Pilot Accused in Attack Trained Abroad, Investigation Widens

Hamam al-Hammami, the co-pilot of a Flydubai flight accused of attacking the captain on a flight bound for Israel, reportedly trained in the UK and New Zealand. He spent 175 days in New Zealand until May 2019. New Zealand authorities have launched their own investigation into his time there. The Shin Bet is actively involved in the interrogation of al-Hammami in the UAE.
