IMF chief warns of global growth threats from energy, debt, and AI
International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva has warned that global growth is threatened by an energy shock, growing public debt, and the risks associated with the boom in artificial intelligence (AI). Brent crude oil prices have risen above $101 a barrel. Georgieva urged governments to control spending. The IMF chief highlighted AI as both a hope and a hazard for world leaders.
