Australian Bishop Jailed for Sexual Abuse of Aboriginal Men
Christopher Alan Saunders, a former bishop in Australia, has been sentenced to over six years in prison for the sexual abuse of young Aboriginal men. Saunders, who served as Bishop of Broome from 1996 to 2020, is described as one of the highest-ranking Catholic officials in Australia convicted of sexual abuse. He will serve a minimum of four and a half years of his sentence.
