Mumbai BMC Removes Thousands of Illegal Ads, Approves Tree Felling for Project
In Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) removed 40,172 illegal advertisements over a nine-month period, with political and religious publicity constituting 83 percent of these removals. Separately, the BMC approved the felling of 184 trees to facilitate a Rs 4,124 crore water treatment plant project in Bhandup.
