Karnataka Receives Over 1 Lakh Applications for SIR Process
In Karnataka, over 1.10 lakh applications were received during the SIR process, with hearings completed in 93.47% of cases. CEO Ambukumar has ordered strict legal action and investigation under the Representation of the People Act against fraudulent applications. Karnataka ranks second nationally in the number of applications received, following a state with 95,000 applications, and Haryana is third with 42,000.
