Flydubai Co-Pilot Planned Suicide Attack on Tel Aviv Airport, UAE Probe Finds
A United Arab Emirates investigation has revealed that the co-pilot of a Flydubai flight, identified as Hammam al-Hammami, planned to carry out a suicide attack targeting the passenger terminal at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv. The probe found that al-Hammami, an Omani national, developed extremist views in 2017 while in Australia and was inspired by the 9/11 attacks to become a pilot. He reportedly rehearsed the attack on the Tel Aviv airport twice before the flight.
