India says UN observer group irrelevant post-Simla Agreement
India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) has "outlived its relevance" following the Simla Agreement. This statement was made in response to the UN Secretary-General's visit to Islamabad.
