EU and China agree to limit hybrid car exports

The European Union and China have reached an understanding to reduce China's hybrid car exports to the EU. Brussels stated that Beijing's shipments could fall by more than half over four years, potentially cutting millions of vehicles. This agreement aims to mitigate fears for European jobs and comes amid concerns about surging sales of Chinese electric vehicles. The EU commerce chief described the agreement as China agreeing to 'moderate' its car exports to Europe.
