Trump announces deal for Russian diesel to enter US and global markets
U.S. President Donald Trump announced a deal following talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin for Russia to supply nearly 5 million tons of diesel fuel to the United States and global markets. The agreement aims to lower fuel prices. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized the decision, calling it a "gift to Putin" and a "weak decision." Some reports suggest that while sanctions relief was part of the deal, it would do little to lower U.S. fuel prices.
