Millions Bathe in Ganges on Pitru Amavasya for Ancestral Rites
Millions of devotees thronged the banks of the Ganges River across several locations in Uttar Pradesh, including Bulandshahr's Ahar, Anupshahr, Karnwas, Rajghat, Ramghat, and Narora, as well as Varanasi's Dashashwamedh Ghat, on Saturday for Pitru Amavasya. Devotees from Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and other regions performed 'tarpan' and 'pinddaan' rituals for the peace of their ancestors.
