Ex-Bureaucrats Defend Election Commission Amid 'Rigged' Claims
A group of 124 former civil servants, including IAS and IFS officers, have written an open letter to citizens defending the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the electoral process. The letter, which also backs the System for Electoral Roll Verification (SIR), warns that claims of vote rigging undermine public trust in democratic institutions. The former officials posed the question, "Do you doubt the system or the result?" to address concerns about the integrity of the elections.
