AI and Nuclear War Among Top Threats to Human Survival by 2100
A new global risk assessment, published in The Lancet, identifies 17 catastrophic threats to human health, with the malicious use of artificial intelligence and nuclear conflict topping the list as potential causes of human extinction by the year 2100. The commission behind the assessment states that a "realistic route to act" exists for each identified threat.
