NCB Seizes Large Drug Haul in Guwahati, Two Arrested
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Guwahati has seized approximately 50 crore worth of Yaba tablets, also identified as methamphetamine/WY tablets. The seizure, weighing 53.937 kg, was made from two suspicious trucks intercepted in Guwahati. The drugs were reportedly concealed in specially fabricated cavities within the fuel tanks of the trucks. Two residents of Manipur have been arrested in connection with the haul, which is part of a broader crackdown on narcotics trafficking in the North Eastern region. The operation is linked to intelligence inputs regarding drug trafficking from Myanmar.
