Army launches 'Bharat Rice' for troops, partners with FCI

The Indian Army has launched 'Bharat Rice', a defence-specification rice supply for its troops. An agreement was signed with the Food Corporation of India (FCI) to bolster operational logistics. This pact allows the Army to directly deliver rice to supply depots, including those in Ladakh and the Northeast. It also grants the Army access to FCI warehousing, manpower, and material-handling equipment during contingencies and military emergencies.
