Navratri Celebrations Feature Lighting of Numerous Sacred Lamps
During Navratri celebrations, the Durga Shakti Peeth illuminated 251 'Akhand Jyoti Kalash' (perpetual lamps) as part of a 20-year tradition. Simultaneously, the Mahakali temple lit 495 'Manokamna Jyoti Kalash' (wishes lamps), with its premises decorated with electric lights and streamers.
