Writer Denies AI Authorship After Novel Pulled from Prize List
Haitian-Canadian writer Thélyson Orélien has denied that his best-selling debut novel was written by artificial intelligence, following its withdrawal from the prestigious Goncourt prize list. The book was removed after AI detection software indicated a 100% probability of computer-generated text. Orélien stated that "not a single sentence" was written by a machine, but he did acknowledge "unacceptable mistakes" concerning plagiarism accusations.
