FTC and States Seek Contempt Ruling Against Martin Shkreli

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and seven US states have asked a court to hold pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli in contempt for allegedly violating a lifetime ban on participating in the pharmaceutical industry. The ban, imposed in 2022, prohibits Shkreli from having ownership stakes or making business decisions in the sector. Authorities allege that Shkreli has "flagrantly and repeatedly" violated these conditions by trading drug stocks.
