Florida Executes Inmate Who Killed Cellmate
Florida executed inmate Mark Asay on Thursday, using lethal injection. Asay had killed his cellmate, Robert Naylor, in 1987, reportedly in the hope of receiving a death sentence. Asay was convicted of the 1987 murder of Naylor and another man, James "Jim" Johnson. The execution method used by Florida is the same as that used in a botched execution in Tennessee.
