Musk, US Military, Trump Cited in Ukraine Starlink Communication Disruptions
Elon Musk, through SpaceX, has indicated that disruptions to Ukraine's Starlink satellite internet service are due to actions by the US military and former President Donald Trump. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed feeling "betrayed" by Trump's reported "Russian diesel deal," which some reports suggest could legitimize Moscow and weaken sanctions. Ukraine warns these Starlink restrictions could have deadly consequences, potentially affecting air defenses more than strikes on oil refineries. Starlink is described as the "backbone of military communications in Ukraine," providing vital high-speed internet to forces. Italian Prime Minister Meloni also warned Trump's diesel deal was "very risky."
