Air India Frankfurt-Delhi flight diverted to Jaipur after hijack alert
An Air India flight operating from Frankfurt to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur after the aircraft transmitted the international hijack squawk code 7500, prompting an emergency landing. Security checks at Jaipur found no suspicious items, and the 250 passengers were safely deboarded. The airline’s pilots have denied deliberately activating the hijack code, and the same crew was later cleared to operate the AI-2030 flight to Delhi. Authorities have opened a probe into the incident.
