Black music events face barriers, investigation finds
An investigation into London's live music industry has found that Black and South Asian music events face disproportionate cancellations, restrictions, and licensing barriers compared to white-led events. The study suggests these inequalities could be costing London up to £141 million annually. Many genres associated with these communities have been labelled 'high risk' without sufficient evidence.
