Global Leaders Warn of AI Risks, Call for Oversight
Global financial and technology leaders are expressing concerns about the potential risks posed by artificial intelligence, particularly "agentic AI" which can act autonomously. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw warned of global turbulence and financial risks stemming from AI disruptions. Sunil Bharti Mittal cautioned that AI agents could "go rogue" and called for international rules governing AI. A global financial watchdog has also urged for increased human oversight of agentic AI.
