Company Aims to Resurrect Extinct Dodo Using Gene Editing
Colossal Biosciences is reportedly working on a project to bring back the extinct dodo bird. The company plans to use gene-editing technology to introduce dodo traits into the cells of the Nicobar pigeon, which is the dodo's closest living relative. Artificial intelligence is also stated to be aiding this effort.
