Lisandro Martinez Apologizes for Criticism of Manchester United Leadership
Argentina defender Lisandro Martinez has apologized for his post-match comments criticizing Manchester United's leadership and transfer dealings. The apology followed meetings with club chiefs, including Michael Carrick. Martinez had reportedly expressed disappointment with the team's performance and expectations from 'upstairs' after a 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid. His initial remarks were described as 'awful' and 'disrespectful' by former players like Jamie Carragher and Wayne Rooney, prompting Martinez to issue a fresh statement and apology.
