Indian Navy Commissions Indigenous Multi-Purpose Warship Samarthak
The Indian Navy has commissioned the indigenous multi-purpose warship INS Samarthak at Naval Base Karwar in Karnataka. Samarthak is the first of four such vessels being built under the 'Make in India' initiative by Larsen & Toubro. The induction marks a significant pace in the fleet's expansion.
