Punjab CM Mann Claims Detention, Accuses Centre of Humiliation
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was reportedly detained at Delhi Airport for three hours upon his return from France, according to claims by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). AAP alleged that officials imposed a penalty of ₹50,000 on Mann. Separately, Mann has accused the Centre of failing to curb the drug menace and questioned Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to Punjab, calling it political publicity. The Punjab High Court had previously rejected the Ministry of External Affairs' (MEA) reason for denying Mann clearance for a France visit, citing a 'political angle'.
