BBC to close TV channels, cut jobs amid cost-saving measures
The BBC is set to close its BBC Three and BBC Scotland television channels and scrap the Radio 4 Extra radio station as part of a plan to save £500 million. These closures are accompanied by job losses, with approximately 100 positions being cut. The corporation cited immediate cost pressures as the reason for these decisions.
