Hundreds of MBBS Seats Vacant After NEET UG Counselling
Following the NEET UG counselling, over 800 MBBS seats remained vacant in deemed universities across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karnataka. Educationists have criticized the situation, pointing to the lack of a fee cap for deemed universities, which they say forces high-scoring NEET candidates to forgo these seats due to exorbitant fees. The vacancies were noted after the final stray vacancy round of counselling.
