Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta dies in Mumbai, cremated at Versova
Sanjay Gupta, director of films such as ‘Kaante’, ‘Shootout at Wadala’ and ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’, died in Mumbai at the age reported as 57 or 59. Mumbai police said his death was accidental and no foul play was suspected. He was cremated at Versova crematorium in Mumbai. Actor Hrithik Roshan publicly expressed an emotional tribute, thanking Gupta for the experience of working on ‘Kaabil’ and saying he wished he had hugged him harder, while other Bollywood stars also gathered to pay respects.
