Traders Urge INDIA Bloc to Postpone Delhi Rally Amid Diwali Shopping Concerns

A traders' body has appealed to Sonia Gandhi to postpone the INDIA bloc's rally scheduled for November 1 at Ramlila Maidan, citing concerns over potential disruption to Diwali shopping. The Confederation of Traders' Industries (CTI) claims that 80% of shops in Delhi may remain shut due to the rally, potentially causing losses estimated between ₹2,000 crore and ₹12,000 crore. This appeal follows previous representations made to Rahul Gandhi. Preparations for the rally are reportedly underway.
