French Billionaire Xavier Niel Acquires Stake in Vodafone
French billionaire Xavier Niel has received approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to acquire a 16.2% stake in Vodafone. The deal is valued at approximately ₹54,103 crore (5.1 billion euros). Niel, the founder of Iliad, built his wealth through low-cost telecommunications and has since diversified into media, startups, and artificial intelligence.
