CBI arrests IAS officer in Haryana bank scam; officer suspended
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from Haryana, Pankaj Agarwal, in connection with a bank scam. Reports indicate the scam involves alleged embezzlement of government funds, with figures ranging from ₹60 crore to ₹657 crore. Following the arrest, the Haryana government has suspended the officer. The case has also seen the arrest of another IAS officer previously.
