China Imposes Export Controls on Japanese Entities Amid Rising Tensions
China has placed numerous Japanese entities, including divisions of Mitsubishi Corporation and a defense studies institute, on an export control list. These restrictions prohibit the sale of dual-use items made in China to the listed companies. Beijing stated the measures are a response to Tokyo's actions, while Japan has protested China's maritime claims. The move follows similar restrictions imposed on US firms.
