Lord Jagannath Observes Isolation Period After Ritual Bath
Following the Deva Snana Purnima ritual, Lord Jagannath and his siblings will enter a 15-day isolation period, known as 'Anasara'. During this time, the deities are believed to be unwell and receive treatment with herbal remedies. Temple rituals will be altered, with no bell ringing or conch sounds reported at Puri's Jagannath Dham, and darshan will be unavailable to devotees.
