Government calls E20 ethanol blending an experiment in Supreme Court
The Indian government informed the Supreme Court that the E20 ethanol blending program, which mixes 20% ethanol with petrol, is still an experiment. The Centre stated that results are expected by next year and that judicial intervention in the allocation process could destabilize the national policy. The case reached the Supreme Court after a challenge to a Karnataka High Court order regarding ethanol allocation.
