India to host sovereign SAR satellite mission with Agnikul Cosmos, ICEYE
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Chennai-based Agnikul Cosmos and Finland's ICEYE, a leader in space-based intelligence. The agreement aims to explore building, launching, and operating Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) earth observation systems from India. This collaboration seeks to reduce dependence on foreign launch services for strategic missions and establish India as a regional hub for manufacturing these systems.
