Sony to End PlayStation Game Disc Releases in 2028
Sony will stop releasing new PlayStation video games on physical discs in January 2028, transitioning to digital downloads only. This decision follows a shift in consumer preferences towards digital purchases and a similar move by the company in 2020. Future games will be sold with digital codes instead of discs.
