Surat Municipal Corporation Suspends Officials After Demolition of Slums
The Surat Municipal Corporation has suspended five officials following the demolition of approximately 80 slums in the Nasirnagar area. An internal committee investigated the incident, which occurred without a formal order. The Congress party has accused the BJP of facilitating this action to benefit builders. The Gujarat High Court has also reportedly commented on the matter.
