Monsoon Arrives in India, Bringing Rain and Disruptions
The southwest monsoon has arrived in parts of India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir, several days after its usual onset. While bringing relief from heat and widespread rain, the monsoon has also caused waterlogging, disruptions, and some tragic incidents in affected areas. The India Meteorological Department has issued alerts for heavy rainfall in several regions.
