Multiple cases of alleged sexual assault and harassment reported across India
Authorities have registered cases against individuals accused of sexual assault and harassment involving minors in various parts of India. In Kerala, police booked a physical education teacher for allegedly assaulting a Class 8 student and registered two cases against six individuals for alleged sexual abuse of a minor. A government school headmaster in Kerala faces accusations of abusing a Class 7 girl. In Uttar Pradesh, a government school teacher was booked for allegedly sexually assaulting two minor girls. A Christian priest was arrested for alleged sexual assault of a woman in Kerala. In Pathanamthitta, Kerala, five juveniles were booked after a Class 9 student alleged repeated sexual assault, with the number of accused rising to six minors, including girls. Separately, a resident in Kanchipuram accused a former DMK minister's relative of land grabbing and alleged police inaction.
