Kaziranga's iconic patrol elephant Joymala dies after long service
Joymala, an iconic patrol elephant at Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, has died at the age of 66. She served the park for 34 years, joining its 'jungle warrior' force in 1992. Her service included battling a tiger, and she was bid farewell with a 'guard of honours'.
