Multiple homicides and suspected dowry deaths reported across India
Multiple incidents of violence against women and children have been reported across India. In Delhi, a newlywed woman died after falling from a third-floor apartment, with her family alleging dowry harassment and murder. Separately, a man was arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly killing his 11-month-old daughter following a dispute with his wife. In Punjab's Phagwara, a woman was murdered, and her husband is being sought by police. Additionally, seven people were held in Uttar Pradesh's Maharajganj in connection with a woman's death, with dowry cited as a motive.
