Puri temple head asks leaders to halt ISKCON's Rath Yatras

The titular king of Puri, Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb, has appealed to President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene and stop the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) from holding Rath Yatras on dates considered untimely by the Jagannath Temple. This request revives a long-standing dispute concerning religious traditions and the scheduling of festivals, particularly those held internationally.
