Delhi-NCR receives monsoon rains, bringing relief and disruptions

Following days of heat and humidity, Delhi-NCR experienced significant monsoon rainfall on July 5th. The rains brought relief from the high temperatures and humidity. However, the downpour also caused disruptions, including waterlogging and traffic jams in areas like Gurugram, and led to delays in flight schedules at Noida Airport. Experts attribute the erratic monsoon patterns to factors like El Nino, changing wind patterns, and climate change, which have contributed to delayed rainfall and continued high humidity levels, making the 'feel-like' temperature reach up to 49 degrees Celsius despite the rain.
