MLAs face legal scrutiny over bribery and land allegations
Several Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) across different states are facing legal challenges. In Tamil Nadu, DMK MLA Senthil Balaji and his brother have approached the Madras High Court seeking anticipatory bail in a case involving alleged bribery. Meanwhile, in Karnataka, a Congress MLA and his father are under scrutiny by the High Court regarding allegations of government land-grabbing. Separately, an ex-Samajwadi Party MLA in Uttar Pradesh had his properties raided by the ED in connection with a money laundering case.
