Videos of Assaults Misattributed to Different Locations Online
Two separate incidents involving videos of assaults have been widely shared online with false geographical attributions. One video, depicting a wife attacking her husband in Bangladesh, was falsely claimed to be an incident of daughters attacking their father in Kerala. Another video, showing an assault survivor from Hardoi, was misrepresented as an event that occurred in Rajasthan. These misattributions highlight the spread of misinformation on social media.
