Top police official links drug trade to post-Maoist vacuum

Telangana's Director General of Police, C.V. Anand, has stated that inter-state ganja smuggling gangs are becoming active following a decline in the Maoist movement. He emphasized the need for coordinated action to curb this drug menace, suggesting that drug peddlers pose a greater danger than Maoists. The Telangana police have set a target to eradicate the drug menace by December 2029.
