Tornadoes and floods cause deaths and damage in China
Tornadoes and severe storms struck central China's Hubei province on Monday night, killing at least eight people and injuring others, according to state media. Winds up to 149 kph (92.58 mph) damaged buildings and overturned cars. Separately, flooding in Nanning killed two people. In Gansu province, landslides caused 21 deaths. One report mentioned 900 snakes escaping a farm after a snake farm collapsed due to rainfall and rare tornadoes. President Xi Jinping urged an 'all out' response to the severe weather.
